Porsche SE names new head of IR

The owner of German sports car giant Porsche has named Karsten Hoeldtke as its new head of investor relations, taking over from Frank Gaube, who has led the IR program since 2006.

Porsche Automobil Holding SE is a major shareholder of Porsche AG, which manufactures the iconic cars. Hoeldtke joined the Stuttgart-headquartered firm on August 1, reporting to Dr Johannes Lattwein, member of the board of management responsible for finance and IT.

‘In Karsten we have gained a finance expert with many years of broad international management experience in the automotive industry,’ says Lattwein in a statement welcoming Hoeldtke to the company.

Hoeldtke boasts a long career in various financial positions in the automobile industry. He joins Porsche from a management position in the finance department of Mercedes-Benz, where he was responsible for the group’s cash flow management from 2020, though he also has international experience. He had a five-year stint in Japan for Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation and spent four years as CFO at Mercedes-Benz Thailand.

The Stuttgart University MBA holder was also chief of staff to the board member for finance and controlling at Daimler from 2016 to 2020.

Hans Dieter Pötsch, chairman of the board, took the opportunity to thank Gaube for his ‘highly successful work and his exceptional commitment to the company’, while wishing Hoeldtke ‘every success in his new position’.
